Thursday morning, Indiana's Second District candidate, Jackie Walorski, responded to incumbent Joe Donnelly's recent ads.
In the ads, Donnelly's campaign claims Walorski supports bad trade policies that send jobs overseas.
Meanwhile, Walorski says the attacks are false.
Right now, she says she serves as a State Representative and could not control NAFTA or Clinton and Obama's policies.
“These guys are the ones sending jobs overseas, and they've done it with a failed stimulus plan,” says Rep. Walorski, a Republican out of Elkhart. “They've done it with a massive debt, they've done it. Obama care -- health system that 75% of the country doesn't want. That's the largest job killer to come down in the state of Indiana.”
Congressman Donnelly's campaign manager issued this in response to the attack ads:
"State Representative Walorski can try to change the subject all she wants. The truth is she supports free trade, and free trade has wiped out tens of thousands of good-paying jobs in Indiana over the last 20-plus years. And now, even as many are looking for work and free trade continues to costs Hoosiers their jobs, she is saying she still supports free trade. That is a clear indication that she is out of touch with the people of north central Indiana."
