Police were busy this morning dealing with one person's numerous crimes.
At about 2:40 Wednesday morning, a car getting onto I-80 from Cline Avenue cut across two lanes of traffic and crashed into a semi.
The car driven by 28-year-old Douglas Schroeder of Midlothian, Illinois went under the semi trailer, causing the truck to lose control and hit a concrete barrier wall.
The tractor part rolled onto the driver’s side, but the driver was able to walk away with no injuries.
Meanwhile, a witness saw a man dragging a woman from the scene of the crash and police found a highly intoxicated woman lying in a pool of motor oil.
Another witness says the man took off running across the toll road, jumped the fence and tried to jack at least two cars.
Police caught up with Schroeder and arrested him, but while he was getting out of the police car, cocaine fell out of his pocket.
Schroeder refused treatment at the hospital, and was taken to Lake County Jail.
Three lanes of I-80 west bound were closed until 4:30 am for investigation and clean-up and to remove the passenger.
