A program in Michiana is working to empower women to make the positive changes in their lives and to gain job and life skills. Soup of Success is run by Church Community Services and based out of Elkhart County.
The program focuses on helping women grow in themselves as much as growing professionally. Group and individual support, career counseling, mentoring, education modules including computer training and money management, and developing hands-on business skills are some of the ideas the entire program is based on.
The program is also looking for anyone willing to help. Volunteer opportunities are open to those that would like to mentor participants, or to companies interested in offerins job shadow opportunities.
