The Potawatomi Zoo is about to break ground to make room for some new guests soon.
A North American river otter exhibit is set to be announced by the zoo on Wednesday, with a grand opening less than a year away. The exhibit will feature four North American otters in an animal experience setting.
The zoological society began its campaign to raise one million dollars nearly two years ago, and they're halfway there right now. The society will continue its fundraising efforts as the project is being built.
Construction is scheduled to end in the fall of 2010, and the exhibit will open in the spring of 2011.
