It's being called a baby boomer epidemic and chances are someone you love has the mind robbing disease. This Saturday there is something you can do to help.
The 20th annual Alzheimer’s Family walk takes place Saturday morning at Newton Park in Lakeville.
An estimated 10 million baby boomers will develop Alzheimer’s in their lifetime and by walking, you can help find a cure or treatment.
You can register online or you can register on site at 8:30 a.m. and also enjoy a continental breakfast.
The walk winds through three miles of beautiful Newton Park starting at 9:30.
You can walk, run or just enjoy a nice stroll. Since it is their major fundraising event it costs $25 for adults to walk and $15 for children.
Also, by asking friends and family for flat donations you can raise even more money for the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana.
For a link to register for the walk, just click on the Big Red Bar.
