Hundreds of people had some "spare" time on Saturday while hitting the lanes for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of St. Joseph County.
Saturday, Chippewa Bowl in South Bend hosted the annual "Bowl for Kids’ Sake."
53 teams bowled for hours with a goal to raise $30,000 through pledges and donations to support Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
WNDU'S Tricia Sloma and Gordy Young were on hand, as were many members of our "16 Morning News" crew.
More than 200 people took to the lanes in an event that's been an annual highlight for those involved.
“Big Brothers, Big Sisters agencies across the country do this event every year, and for most agencies, including ours, this is our major fundraising event each year, so it's very important to our bottom line,’ said Deb Burrows, executive director.
As for how Tricia and Gordy did, both teams said they were the winners.
