One of the three students suspended from Lake Michigan College for being a convicted child sex offender will be allowed to return to campus.

The students were suspended when the school changed its policy after a convicted child sex offender applied to Lake Michigan College last semester.

Children often visit the campus for classes and activities.

But, two of the three suspended students appealed the school's decision. On Friday, each of those students presented his or her case to appeals committees.

One of the students is still suspended but another is now allowed back to campus.

School officials won't say why or explain the nature of their convicted crimes. They say that would violate the students' rights.
