Smoke in the cockpit forced an emergency landing Wednesday afternoon at the Elkhart Municipal Airport.
That's according to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth.
An airport official says the Elkhart-based Learjet experienced problems about 20 miles north of the airport, but was able to land safely. No one was hurt.
The FAA is investigating Wednesday's incident, along with two aircraft crashes this week in the Goshen area.
On Monday an ultralight plane went down near County Road 29. And last Thursday, two people were hurt when a helicopter made an emergency landing near the Goshen Airport.
