It's known as the "flower of hope" by the American Cancer Society and it’s also a sure sign of spring. Daffodil Days is a time to remember those who’ve died from cancer and help fund research to find cures.
Time is running out to order your $10 bunch of daffodils this year. You can add a vase for an additional $5. Pre-orders are due by Friday, March 12; they will fill orders after that, but only while supplies last so there are no guarantees.
Pick-up will be on March 25 at Merrill Pharmacy in Mishawaka, the local American Cancer Society office in Mishawaka and Southfield Village in South Bend.
To qualify for delivery, you or your business must have a total order of at least $150.
If you don't want flowers for yourself, you can order a "bouquet of hope.” For a minimum $25 donation the American Cancer Society will take a flower bouquet to a cancer patient in the hospital.
The proceeds of Daffodil Days benefit the American Cancer Society. To learn more, click on the Big Red Bar.
