Wednesday is the deadline to apply for financial aid offered by the state of Indiana.
You'll still be able to fill out a FAFSA form to receive federal money, but you must have the form completed by Wednesday to be eligible for state aid.
“The federal government actually passed a law to make FAFSA easier, so this new one for the 2010-11 year takes about 10 minutes, but it can result in thousands of dollars,” said Wendy Railing, financial aid counselor at IUSB
Financial aid counselors at many area colleges offer their services if you need assistance filling out FAFSA forms, but they say it's likely you can do it on your own online. Just click here.
