Stores in University Park Mall have some competition this weekend thanks to an on-slaught of arts and crafts.
The Heritage Arts and Crafts Show filled the mall this week. More than two dozen local craft makers from all over Michiana displayed their work for people to purchase.
Some of the items included hand-made furniture, puppets, and things for your kitchen or bedroom. No matter what your budget there was something for everyone.
"We've got the quilts here that go for about $5,000. So from $2 to $5,000 from something simple to something very, very, artistic and quality,” event organizer Thomas Labuzienski said.
Organizers say the turnout this weekend was fantastic, even better than they expected.
