Spring Break is just around the corner for students but it's even closer for college students - and it's not too late to book a trip for some fun in the sun!
This morning on "16 morning News" we took you to Edgerton's Travel to talk about the best last minute deals.
If you’re flexible with your travel dates there are some fantastic deals for mid-march and early April on cruises.
Economic difficulties in countries like Greece, Ireland, and Spain are allowing for cheap deals and flights. While it’s often inexpensive to fly to Europe, it’s the food and lodging that will get you.
For China and Asia the flights are very pricey but food and hotels are amazingly cheap.
Also some cruise lines have deals where a family of four can go for around a thousand dollars (excluding airfare).
If you want to go Europe don’t go between June and August – prices are extremely high. Instead go in the Winter, Spring, or Fall. You’ll avoid the massive crowds and by wearing a sweater or jacket you will save a ton of cash.
If you and your family want to head down south for some sun - experts say to drive instead of fly and avoid tourist heavy places (Orlando, etc.). Although those places are fun you'll definitely pay for it.
“If you want a good deal to Disney the only time you should go is when kids are in school. If you go during the Summer, Christmas, or Spring Break you're going to spend a lot of money because Disney knows that's the only time you can come” according to Travel Agent and Expert Tom Edgerton.
