Spring is just around the corner and when you’re doing that spring cleaning, you may want to keep your eyes open for any gently used prom or bridesmaid dresses. Hundreds of young women in our area could use them for one of the biggest nights of their young lives.
Ziker Cleaners and the Junior League of South Bend are currently holding their 7th Annual "Princess for a Night" prom dress drive.
People can donate new or gently used prom dresses to any of the eight Zikers locations in South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, or Elkhart through March 13th. They need dresses in all sizes.
Last year's drive was able to give 600 local teens a dress for prom. Organizers are hoping to do the same again this year, but they need your help! Right now, they have only about "45 dresses, but we're going to need about 1500 to serve 600 girls," says Jennifer Probst with Ziker Cleaners. "This is a great cause and the girls really need them."
Then, this year's giveaway will be on March 20th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the College Football Hall of Fame.
Girls must bring their student ID to get in. Dress selection is first come, first serve.
