Love is in the air this week as Valentine's Day is approaching. But a Tuesday night event proved that there's no love like dad's love.
About a thousand people turned out Tuesday night at the Century Center for the 10th Annual Daddy-Daughter Dance put on by the Parks Department. Some of the dads were lucky enough to have two dance partners.
All agreed that this early Valentine's Day celebration is always something they look forward to.
"It's a great time to get out with the girls and show them what princesses they are in our lives and it's a great time," said Rick Reid, who attended the dance with his daughters. "They've got cookies, punch, pictures, dancing, and the girls can tell me what the latest Miley Cyrus song is, so I try to keep up with that."
Even as it was time to go home, some of the couples had their final dance in the hallways.
