It might be a short session for Indiana's General Assembly, but there's a long list of topics up in the air for lawmakers.
Wednesday, NewsCenter 16 caught up with Indiana Republican Party Chairman Murray Clark.
He's says property tax caps could take up most of the session's time.
Lawmakers will try to vote on whether or not it should be on the ballot next year as a constitutional requirement.
Property tax caps right now are only required by legislation.
“The constitutional amendment to cap property taxes is up. It has to pass to this year to go on the ballot for referendum. If it doesn't pass this year, it has to start all over again,” said Clark.
Other hot topics this short session include Sunday alcohol sales, an ethics bill, and new casino laws.
