A former Benton Harbor police officer will learn his fate January 4th after he pleaded guilty to corruption charges back in September.

Earlier NewsCenter 16 reported Hall would be sentenced Wednesday based on information provided to us in September. Hall's sentencing was later reset for January 4th in Grand Rapids.

Bernard Hall, 33, was a 10-year veteran on the force, and head of the narcotics division. Hall was the boss of former officer Andrew Collins, who is currently serving time in federal prison on a felony drug conviction.

The FBI says Collins and Hall used drugs they seized to commit a number of crimes.

They'd use them as evidence to falsify search warrants and fake drug deals, embezzle money, and present false evidence against Benton Harbor residents. Dozens of their cases have been dismissed in the city because of it.

Hall faces up to 10 years in prison.
