A fire broke out this afternoon at the GalFab facility in Winamac, in the 600-block of W. 11th Street.
Smoke quickly filled the building and the Winamac and Star City fire departments responded to put out the blaze.
The Red Cross and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department set up a mobile command post and warming station to help keep everyone safe out in the frigid temperatures.
Right now, it’s believed the fire started in the compressor room on the west side of the building.
There's no word yet on how much damaged the fire caused.
GalFab manufactures waste handling equipment.
