Here we are in December and Michiana has seen just a trace of snow this season, and that's good news for Berrien County's budget.
In November of last year, it was already snowing. According to our reporting partners at WSJM, Berrien County had already been plowing for 10 days this time last year.
They haven't had to plow yet this season, which is easier on the county's budget and the roads, too.
Berrien County has about $2 million set aside for clearing roads this season, which is 1 million less than four years ago.
