Lunchtime usually means tater tots or hot dogs in the school cafeteria. That wasn't the case Tuesday at Bremen Elementary.
First graders dressed as Pilgrims and Indians and filled the hallway for the school's annual feast.
This tradition is now in its 20th year. The kids learned all about the holiday, made their own costumes and placemats and then sat down for Turkey and all the trimmings.
"The kids absolutely love it. They are so excited when this day comes. It is fun watching the older kids walk down the hall going to lunch and you hear the oohs and ahhs. Oh man I wish we could do that again. So it's something in the first grade that they will truly, truly remember," First Grade teacher Barb Sauter said.
"When you see the smiles on their faces, it really makes you feel thankful for them and what we have together," First Grade teacher Audra Long said.
There's something special about this year's first grade class at Bremen. There is a record number of kids who are twins or triplets.
Hear more about it in a special report airing Thanksgiving night after Jay Leno.
