Dozens of people stretched through the parking lot of Winamac Community High School Saturday morning for an H1N1 vaccine clinic. This is the fifth clinic for target groups put on by the Pulaski County Health Department.

About 540 people showed up for the clinic Saturday. Both nasal spray and the injectable vaccine were offered.

The County Health Department held four previous target group clinics including one last week for infants ages six months through 35 months. Saturday is the first time a clinic of this size was put on in Pulaski County, according to health officials.

About 100 volunteers and 20 nurses helped put on the clinic Saturday. The health department is going to put on more clinics in Francesville and Medaryville based on availability of vaccine.

Health officials were deeply thankful for the community support and volunteers that made the mass clinic such a large success.
