St. Joseph County votes "no" to RTA
St. Joseph County, IN Election results have come in for the vote on the Regional Transportation District, and St. Joseph County voters overwhelmingly voted against the proposal.

Election results have come in for the vote on the Regional Transportation District, and St. Joseph County voters overwhelmingly voted against the proposal.
A staggering 95% (19,640) voted "no", and 5% (1,053) voted "yes".
The numbers total to 10% of the eligible voters coming out, which is close to the the number that vote for a normal primary. Officials say it's a great turnout for an election that many were not aware of until the last few days.
Porter County also turned down the measure, 80% to 20%. To see those results click here.
The RTD vote in northwest Indiana wasn't the thing on the ballots in Michiana. There were many local races and important issues brought to vote in Michigan. To see those results, click here.
