Halloween is in full swing in Michiana, and even though the weather was gloomy, kids got to trick or treat in the warmth Friday night.
The Botanical Gardens at Potawatomi Greenhouse opened their doors for Freaky Flower Friday. Kids received candy in the toasty greenhouse and saw some cool costumes.
It was a safe way for kids to get their trick or treat fix.
"This is a wonderful asset to our community and it's just a great place to have. A safe place for Halloween trick or treating and you can come in and learn about the plants and just enjoy being inside," said Heidi Gray of the Potawatomi Greenhouse
All proceeds benefit the greenhouse and botanical gardens.
