It's near and dear to many hearts in Michiana, but memories alone weren't enough to save Deer Forest Fun Park in Coloma.
Deer Forest was put on the auction block on Saturday but there were no takers, according to our read it, watch it partners at the Herald-Palladium.
The minimum bid for Deer Forest was $800,000.
Since no one bought the park, the 60-year-old family attraction was sold off in pieces. The highest bidders walked away with animals and memorabilia.
The co-owner of Deer Forest will hang on to the 20-acre site.
Officials with Berrien County Animal Control say they'll try to find new homes for the animals that weren't sold at the auction.
