People in the town of Lapaz helped recognize a special birthday Monday.
Cindy Wingett is celebrating her 102nd birthday.
The celebration was held at Lapaz Community Church -- and it was a surprise party.
Wingett still lives on her own and visits the church every day to help serve meals and play cards.
Cindy has a few secrets to her longevity.
"Just keep active -- you can't sit there and look at that tube all the time. I make my own noodles and I do my own housework---nobody helps me," Wingett explains.
Her friends say she is an amazing woman.
"She is so efficient -- she helps me in the kitchen every day and never complains about anything," says one of Wingett's friends Jane Pesch.
Everyone at WNDU would like to wish Cindy a very happy birthday, and many more.
