Children from Monroe Primary got some new shoes Saturday, thanks to local volunteers.
Living Stones Church partnered with an organization called Samaritan's Feet.
Volunteers spent the afternoon helping kids find the right sized shoes, and each and every student could walk away in a new pair.
"It's fun to be able to give them something new to feel good about themselves. It's amazing something so small can have such a great impact on the way they think of themselves and the way that they carry themselves," said Jennae Gee of Living Stones Church.
"Nice people gave me the shoes,” said Alexandria Bertog, one of the children who received new shoes.
The church says students at Monroe Primary are the most in need in the South Bend community.
