You might want to take a break from that diet, because there's a new pie in town.
After much anticipation, and mouthwatering, Gino's East opened Tuesday at Heritage Square in Mishawaka.
The restaurant has an arcade, a three-seasons outdoor patio, and a bar that is a replica of the original restaurant in Chicago.
But, the manager says, customers need to remember that perfection takes time.
"A deep-dish pizza does take approximately 45 minutes to cook, so that is per our slogan, 'it's worth the wait,'" said Brett Boomhower, general manager of Gino’s East.
To assist with the wait, Gino's East also has a call-in and carry-out service and delivery, scheduled to be up and running in 30 days.
Gino's East is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
