New jobs are coming to Knox, due to a rail car company relocating to the area.
Reagent Chemical and Research has chosen the Knox Industrial Park for its new rail car facility.
Starke County beat out Texas, Louisiana, and West Virginia for the facility -- in large part because of the lead rail track constructed at the Industrial Park in 2004.
Up to 31 new workers will be hired over time. The workers will repair and maintain rail cars at the plant.
Reagent will put up two new buildings, and will open in 2010.
Reagent is the largest maker of rubber-lined rail cars in North America.
