Most area 14-year-olds spent Sunday afternoon getting ready to go back to school.
After all, this is a big week for them---they are going to high school for the first time.
Yet, soon-to-be South Bend Washington freshman Brett Banasiewicz was doing something much different.
The 14-year-old was on the other side of the country---in Portland, Oregon---competing in the BMX Park Finals with professionals.
Known as "Mad Dog," Banasiewicz dazzled a national crowd on NBC Sunday afternoon with unbelievable bike tricks. Announcers referred to him as a future superstar in the sport.
Again he's just 14. Everyone else competing was at least 18.
Brett finished in 12th place, crashing hard into a wall after two unbelievable moves.
He land a perfect no-handed front flip as well as a triple whip before a 3rd crazy move caused him to crash.
"Mad Dog" is ok, however.
And now it's back to school and it looks like South Bend Washington has a new superstar to replace Skylar Diggins on campus.
