Think you know everything about honest Abe? Have you seen Harley Davidson bikes that span nearly a century?
You can learn more about both at the Studebaker museum which has two new exhibits.
The Abraham Lincoln exhibit is called “The Man You Didn't Know”.
You might not know Abraham Lincoln is the only president to hold a patent.
You also may not know that John Wilkes Booth, the president's assassin, was part of a larger conspiracy to kill other government officials.
Once you're done with presidential history you can check out the Harley Davidson exhibit.
The museum's archivist says it surprised him how Studebaker and Harley both started in similar ways.
"Harley got its start with two men working in a backyard shed to produce a motorized bicycle. Studebaker got its start with two brothers in a blacksmith's shop in downtown South Bend doing blacksmithing and making a few wagons here and there. And both took off, both received significant support from military contracts, and both became long lasting participants in the American transportation history," Andrew Beckman of the Studebaker Museum said.
You can help out the museum and have fun too. Next Monday the museum is holding a golf fundraiser at blackthorn golf club.
