If you are looking for a little culture this weekend, head over to Toscana Park for the first Italian Fest.
This weekend Toscana Park in Mishawaka is turning into a "Little Italy."
It's the first ever Italian Fest featuring about 30 vendors from the area.
Hundreds of people got a sampling of many Italian dishes at the festival including pastas, Italian sausage, gelato, and tiramisu.
Food from Villa Macri was served outside under a large tent.
Plus kids could play bocce ball, watch the train at the giant Lego set, or enjoy some gelato.
Plus Italian bands and singers have been performing all weekend.
“This is why this entire piazza was formed, so people could gather and have a good time and relax,” says Jerry Macri, owner of Villa Macri.
Italian Fest continues Sunday from eleven to eleven.
Organizers hope to put together another festival in October.
The ribbon was cut at the Mishawaka festival Friday morning.
