When it comes to high school superstars in Michiana, the first name that comes to mind for most is South Bend Washington's Skylar Diggins.
Perhaps, Niles softball pitcher Jenna Ignowski should be added to that list after her incredible performance on Saturday.
The Eastern Michigan bound senior threw her 18th career perfect game as Niles rolled over Comstock 8-0 to win the Division 2 Regional Championship at Edwardsburg.
Earlier in the day, Ignowski shutout Wayland Union, which was ranked 2nd in the state.
The Vikings gave Ignowski run support early, scoring five runs in the bottom of the 1st.
Niles now advances to the state quarterfinals on Tuesday at Kentwood High School.
