A bizarre incident took place in South Bend Saturday afternoon.
A man was arrested after running into a moving car and coming at police with a pole.
It happened in the 1200 block of North Olive Street around 4:30 p.m.
Police say the 28-year-old man, who had been drinking, punched a hole in the window at his house. He then ran outside, holding a knife and threatening suicide.
He then ran into a car that was driving by.
Neighbors called police, and when they showed up, the man resisted them, and swung a pole at them.
Police tazed the man to get him to cooperate.
