In this economy, it probably comes as no surprise that business is down at most of Indiana’s casinos compared to a year ago.
And the latest numbers show the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City is still losing the battle against the Four Winds in New Buffalo, Michigan.
Admissions at the Blue Chip are down about 7-percent over the last 12 months through April.
Business has declined steadily since the Four Winds opening in 2007.
The company that runs the Blue Chip does say there's been a bright spot in their business. They tell NewsCenter 16 that since opening a 22-story, glass-walled hotel in January, admissions to the casino are actually up 24-percent.
