From coast-to-coast, the controversy continues over President Obama's appearance at Notre Dame's commencement.

Thousands of alumni who live all over the country, are receiving letters from Randall Terry's local staff.

The two pages, front and back, slam Obama and ask alumni to help stop him from speaking.

When they opened the envelopes with a handwritten address post marked from South Bend, but with no return address, they didn't know what to expect.

When they read the letter, they were furious and frustrated.

We've gotten several calls from Notre Dame alumni, some as far away as California.

It's been confirmed from Randall Terry's local office that 40,000 of the letters went out, "In search of Notre Dame grads to stand up for life, truth, and justice.”

Joe Scaccia, a 1979 graduate who lives in California says the letter is over the top. He was shocked that the words "baby killer" and "child killer" were referenced over and over. The begging and pleading to “cancel Obama, replace Father Jenkins and restore Notre Dame," he says is just sickening and sad for the class of 2009, the community, and alumni.

What really threw Scaccia over the edge was the section that says because Obama is pro-choice, this means he is linked up with China and their forced abortion system.

That's when he decided to call the phone number on the letter, which then made him even angrier.

Scaccia says, “I said, look, I think all Catholics supported Obama 55-45% from McCain and he said, well, that's liberals like you who like baby killing and that just put me over the top. His next line was, “You like Obama because he's a baby killer like you. He's no better than Hitler who killed the Jews.”

In the letter, there are suggested steps to stop Obama from speaking and even a request to send money in return for special gifts like a series filmed on slaughtering the innocent.
