The stage is set for Washington vs Ben Davis, but how was it in jeopardy?

On Saturday, the undefeated Washington Panthers will face the undefeated Ben Davis Giants in the Indiana high school 4A state championship game.
It's an 8pm tipoff at Lucas Oil Stadium for one of the most anticipated high school girls basketball games ever played.
Washington is 26-0 and ranked number one in the nation by ESPN. Ben Davis is 29-0 and ranked number one in the nation by USA Today. So, Saturday's state championship will also be for the mythical national championship.
But Washington's quest to reach the state finals for the 4th straight year may have been in jeopardy on Saturday for something a little different.
Star Skylar Diggins left her sneakers at Washington High School. Luckily the trip between Washington and Plymouth (where the Semi-State was played) is only 35 minutes.
Head coach Maurice Scott said a police officer drove back to the school, secured the shoes, and gave them a 'police escort' back to Plymouth, in time for the game.
Diggins and her shoes maybe took a few minutes to get re-adjusted. After a quarter, Washington trailed 13-10.
That's when Skylar got comfortable in her sneaks, scoring 10 unanswered in the 2nd quarter to put the Panthers up by 10. She finished with 38 points as Washington beat Pendleton Heights 77-45.
This Saturday, Diggins and company are going to Indianapolis, so leaving the shoes behind would clearly be a bigger problem.
And so will Ben Davis.
The Giants have three Division one players. They are led by Penn State bound point guard Alex Bentley, who scored 23 points in the Semi-State win over Mooresville.
Like Washington, Ben Davis won its Semi-State game by 32 points.
