Man accidentally shoots himself in head
61-year-old Jerry Nutter told police he was cleaning his rifle when he accidently fired a shot.

St. Joseph County police were called out to the 61000 block of Mayflower Road Saturday morning after a man called in and said he accidentally shot himself.
61-year-old Jerry Nutter told police he was cleaning his rifle when he accidently fired a shot.
Police say when they went to the house, Nutter was alert and complaining his head hurt.
Nutter's injuries are apparently non-life threatening.
