It might be the first week of the new year, but the spring and summer wedding seasons are just around the corner.
To help those brides and grooms-to-be get ready for their big day, a bridal expo was held at South Bend's Century Center on Sunday.
From dresses to jewelry to cakes and invitations, dozens of vendors from the local wedding industry were on hand.
We found many people who are planning way in advance for their big days.
"We've seen people for 2010 and also 2011 and even beyond," revealed Mark Charter, who was representing Louie's Tux Shop. "They like to get their cards in a row and make sure everything's ready, and we're ready to book for them."
Bride-to-be Sarah Keenoy said she came out to the expo to "gather some more information that will help us plan out better. We've never done this before, so it does seem like a good place to start."
There were also raffle drawings for those in attendance.
