Mishawaka was alive with blues music Saturday night.
The "Elwood Splinters Blues Band" recorded a live CD at Midway Tavern Saturday night in Mishawaka. The CD was recorded by West Wind Studio and celebrates the band's 20th anniversary.
The band believes with a tough economy the blues have been making a comeback.
“When they come here they will get picked up and the blues like our music bring you up and bring you down and then will set it home, right to your heart and soul,” said lead vocalist Harvey Stauffer.
There are six members of the band. So far they've recorded three others CDs and a cassette.
