The South Shore train is having a busy holiday season this year. So much so that it surprised a lucky rider Monday morning.
Annette Bontrager from Goshen found out this morning she was the 300,000 passenger this year on the South Shore.
Bontrager and her kids were on their way to Chicago to the American Girls store.
Now they'll have plenty more reasons to head to the windy city! "We have got free passes for I believe it was 25 trips. We have two tickets in here so it's great - we will use this!"
Bontrager says she's shocked with the surprise this morning, “just thank you, wow, this was very exciting and we're very appreciative. We like riding the South Shore, it's very comfortable and the girls like it. It's easy.”
In addition to the free tickets, airport officials handed Bontrager a gift bag with even more goodies!
