Visitors celebrated cultures from all over the world Sunday in Michigan.
The 6th International Festival took place at Sam Adams Elementary School in Cassopolis.
Sisters of the Nile was one of the featured acts, as well as Dunuya, a drum and dance group that brought listeners a taste of music from North and West Africa.
"Harmony, unity, peace -- all those good things, they're the kind of world we want to live in together," said Ruth Andrews, about the community the festival hopes to foster. "Just looking around, people are really grooving on being in the same room with all these different cultures, and it's just a really wonderful thing.
The drum and dance performances were just part of the day's events.
Craft vendors, children's activities, and plenty of food meant there was a little something for everyone.
