Mishawaka police say two people critically injured in a seven vehicle crash Tuesday are improving.

Police say 53-year-old Judith Traynor had a medical problem that caused her to hit six cars and stop in the intersection of Edison and Hickory roads.

She and another driver have been upgraded to stable condition in the intensive care unit.

To Mary.. just wanted to clarify that they don't charge higher rates depending on gender.. it is a myth that many people talk about but very untrue and very illegal (sex discrimination) Just thought I would clear that up..

Rob, your a jerk. any one can have a heart attack, except maybe you, I don't think you have one. MEN, DON'T LET THEM TALK.. End of story

Rob this is for YOU...You must be a woman hater!!!!! There are just as many MEN that should stay off the streets!!! To the driver, I am sure this will be a hard thing to live with,,,even if it was not your fault you had a heart attack. Prayers are with all involved in this tragedy

rob on Aug 28, 2008 at 02:45 PM/Wow people are hurt and in the hospital and that is all you can say. It was not because she was a female it because she had a massive heart attack.

To Rob...why is it that a woman has a massive heart attack, passes out, and hits six cars and happens to be still alive and improving that all woman should not drive. Why is mens car insurance higher than womans? Hmm, possibly because men drive stupider then women. I don't know how many times I am on the road and have a man whip around me or go past me because I am doing the speed limit. Oh by the way, my driving record is perfect. I am glad that everyone is ok and that no one died.

Rob you need to warp back to the stone age so you can continue to be a caveman. Come on rob. I’m a better driver than my husband, father, and brothers. Oh, by the way, I’m a woman driver. I have not once caused an accident. I am very attentive, cautious, and turn my phone off while driving. You can’t judge a driver by their gender. Men can be just as dumb behind the wheel as a woman, or just as safe.

How unfortunate that this has to become a bickering match between people posting to this comment post! Regardless, male or female (Rob) when your heart attacks you...crazy stuff happens to your body! I feel terrible for all of the folks that were in the accident. I think I feel worse that their accident has given fuel to such idiocy. Pray for all involved, wish them well, and hope this never happens to you. If and when it does...pray that those on the outside of the situation your in...don't call you names because of your shortcomings, or mistakes.

"rob", OK, I can't even respond to your comment. To all involved, praise God you're all improving! My prayers are with you that you'll have a speedy and full recovery. This could happen to any one of us, don't place blame, I'm sure she didn't choose to have a massive heart attack, while she was driving, and hit all those other cars.

Obviosly some people have nothing better to do than sit in front of a computer and think of finding a reason to to ridicule innocent people injured in a crash that almost ended the lives of persons who such as you are a living, breathing part of this community. Thanks to God or the will to live, these 2 people will recouperate and be able to carry on their lives with the ones they love. I propose to Kevin who wants to put in all his negative comments to try to put himself in these 2 peoples hospital beds clinging to life with a long road of recovery ahead and justify your comments as if your family (if they care about you) were by your side praying for you to survive. Sounds to me like you are are hateful, spiteful man(are you really a man?) and have nothing better to do. My advice is to get some help before you if you are able to get behind the wheel of a car, they do require intelligence to operate...maybe you dont qualify. Grow up, grow old or go away. Rob (Roberta) get a life.

There are too many idiots on this planet.. I think the old phrase: "Stupid people shouldn't breed" comes to mind! This poor women had a massive heart attack (which is more common in men.. so there for to the poster that said women shouldn't drive.. then they shouldn't let any men drive because it is more likely to happen to them) She had no control over her car whithout any warning. Sorry the heart attack fairy forget to phone her and let her know when he was going to visit! I am so tired of reading comments from the uneducated looths of this area it is unreal. Use your internet time more wisely and educate yourself. I pray that everyone involved recovers fully and quickly.

Harry, she had a massive heart attack. First one. She was driving to work and when they got to her car she was not breathing. My Brother works with her and confirmed that she was a very nice woman who would never had driven had she had any idea there was going to be a problem. Kevin from Breman, I'm pretty sure you can leave the fair city of breman and the total IQ of the city would go up!

kevin how are you anyway? Heart attacks do not call a week ahead they just happen i know i had one. do one better do not use your cell phone while your driving pull over if its that important

Posted by: Loosh on Aug 28, 2008 at 01:49 PM
She should be happy. At least it was a heart attack, and she wasn't shot by the MPD.

Posted by: Harry Location: South Bend on Aug 28, 2008 at 01:04 PM
Thank God. Any idea what the medical condition is that contributed to the accident?

Posted by: PL on Aug 28, 2008 at 11:48 AM
Hey Kevin, have you experienced having a massive heart attach while you were behind the wheel of your car? This was not a planned or malicious event, this was all caused by the fact she had a massive heart attack? Do you know what happens to you and your body when that occurs? All of you people need to get a grip on reality and what really happened here. Perhaps all your negative energy could be put to better use in praying for these 2 people who are fighting for their life and how this tragic unfortuate event has impacted their families.

Hi i think 80-90 miles per hour is way past the speed limit an well i think the police need to look into this seven car crash more in depth

Posted by: Karen Location: SB on Aug 28, 2008 at 07:49 AM
I am glad their conditions have been upgraded to stable. I pray all will be okay for everyone involved.

Posted by: SB Location: SB on Aug 28, 2008 at 06:38 AM
So glad they are improving. When I was driving yesterday I sneezed and almost hit someone...I can only imagine how terrified she was w/ something major happening. Keep getting batter!!
