A jury closed an almost decade and a half old murder today with a guilty verdict.
The jurors convicted 32-year old Jarrode Phillips of murder and attempted murder for an August 1995 shooting.
Phillips shot and killed Weldon Jeffries and injured Spencer Johnson during a drive by shooting on West Jefferson in South Bend.
Phillips almost went to trial once before, but Johnson decided not to testify.
Prosecutors re-filed charges in January after Johnson changed his mind.
