A local state representative wants to test the air around an Elkhart County wood recycling plant.

Craig Fry is worried that VIM recycling may be emitting formaldehyde.

The Mishawaka Democrat has asked IDEM to hold a public hearing before renewing an air discharge permit for the company.

The VIM plant has been closed since last year's deadly fire. It is set to re-open next month.

A company spokesman says Fry is just playing politics, and says that a Department of Health survey already failed to find any ill health effects from VIM operations.

Hey if they delay the re opening because of this politician and they find nothing then him personally should be responsible for all expenses and cost that the incur. in other words out of his pocket not the tax payers

Craig Fry might be omitting hot air, too. This guy does nothing until an election is approaching, then he gets loud. Check his record, please.
