The police report was full of lies from the people in that house. if he was so innocent why did he run. why throw the gun. Sat would have been Scottys 35th birthday. Dustin didn't just kill him he crushed me my grandkids. and every onr that new him the prosicuter did not do his job. Just because Scotty didn't have money or no family there the police was told a bunch of lies and deided his life was woth the time or efoort to do there jobs. That is why there is so much violant crimes and murder in Benton harbor Mi.because the police let murders get away murder. unless it makes a political statement. the authory's in Mi. should hold thier heads down in shame. This is un Godly and sad

I can not believe that the berrien county proscutor never brought murder charges against Dustin saffell after he shot an unarmed man. How do they get away with this!

I pray the prosacuters in this case Don't hesitate to punish a murderer. Mureder is murder is murder. If they have feelings toward the victim(which are so wrong) they should leave those out. Scotty hadn't lived there for a long time he was just there for 2 months when this happen. He was a good grand father and a good provider. and was loved by many his past didnot deserve murder

This is really sad for Watervliet. This house has been a know drug house everyone in the area knows that - including the police. Small town big drugs and the police know who and where and yet they turn their heads. SAD.

Just another reason why the world should be rid of all the Saffells. They have all been White Trash and follow suit of each other. Anyone that associates with them all have at least one thing in common - DRUGS. Scotty was shit for a father, hasn't raised his kids and Dustin is trash brought up just like his dead beat parents. Drugs and crime pays in the end for the victim on this one.
