Several members of the Notre Dame College Republicans met Thursday for a protest outside Congressman Joe Donnelly’s South Bend office.
The protest came complete with costumes and aimed to raise awareness of the American Solutions Petition.
The petition calls for the utilizing of American oil resources, in hopes of lowering gas prices.
The group says 300,000 Americans have inked the petition so far and they hoped today's event would encourage the Democratic congressman to get on board.
