Indiana will hold its primary in just three weeks -- and for the first time in 40 years, Hoosiers may help decide a presidential nominee.
Tim Russert joined us in our studio to discuss recent controversial comments made by Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
NBC's chief political correspondent and moderator of Meet the Press is in town to deliver the 25th anniversary Red Smith Lecture at Notre Dame Monday night.
He took time to share some insight on the role Indiana will play in helping choose the Democratic Party's candidate.
“A lot depends on Pennsylvania. Senator Clinton needs a big victory in Pennsylvania, to try to parlay it two weeks later here on May 6th,” explained Russert. “But if she wins Indiana and pulled an upset in North Carolina, then there's a whole new race. So, Indiana does count. No doubt about it.”
