The LaPorte community continues to hold out hope for a businessman kidnapped in Iraq three years ago Friday.

Jeffrey Ake was working as a private contractor in Iraq when he disappeared from a water treatment facility near Baghdad.

Ake was last seen in a video shown on an Al Jazeera television station.

But there is still no word on his whereabouts or what happened to him.

A website was set up so people can get updated information and donate to the Ake family.

The address for that site is http://jeffake.com.

Jerry im sorry to say your likely right.when you deal with nut cases this is what you get.fanatics CAN'T be delt with.and people want us out of this war is all those folks lives in the towers worth so little. is this mans life worth so little.and are our service peoples lives worth so little.I have to ask my self if the people of this country who whined about how bad those people were treated in the war area still think we should be there.as of now and what those whiners started WE CANT BACK DOWN NOW AND MORE WILL DIE.the only way to stop it now is to finish what we started.

The reality is his remains will probably be discovered someday. I hope that he is found alive and well but I think it will be the other situation.
