It’s easy to forget that it is spring, with all the snow on the ground. But it is!
And that fact was very clear Saturday at the South Bend Farmers Market.
The market had fresh flowers for sale for the first time this year.
Plenty of people came out to browse for the perfect colorful addition to their Easter dinner table.
“It's sort of grim out there, but it's nice in here. Full of spring flowers and pussy willows,” explained Judy Truesdell enthusiastically. “You can see hyacinths; there's a whole booth of purple hyacinths, and they're just gorgeous. So spring is in sight, that's for sure.”
Visitors to the Farmers Market were also treated to a special visit from the Easter bunny.
