Who would have thought a family trip would turn into a money making experience.
A Michiana man was caught on tape by his wife acting a little wacky, and his behavior won him some big bucks on “America's Funniest Home Videos.”
Sunday night, Craig Fisher's family and friends gathered to watch the final round to see just how much money his antics were worth.
He's definitely thanking his family and friends for many reasons.
Fisher had a few hundred people supporting him at Club Landing.
The club's owner wanted Fisher to be applauded celebrity style whether he walked away with $10,000 or $100,000.
Yes, his humor won him some money but, it's his wife who caught it all on tape.
Fisher looked and the crowd saying, “They're here and nobody knows.”
They do know that his clip, "Waves of Laughter" won Fisher $10,000 back in December.
He still can't get over that money-making moment at Avalanche Bay, a water park in Michigan, when he thought he was going to die in the wave pool.
Fisher says, “My girls and my nieces were doing it. My brother in law did it. So, I thought well, I can do it and I couldn't do it.”
Thousands of dollars later, he got over it. He even got over the fact his ironman body would be on national television.
Fisher says, “They're going to see me naked. Nobody wants to see this body naked.”
His co-workers at Kropp Fire Protection told him to be a man, and hit "send" to the show.
So, did his performance in his swimsuit win him 100-grand?
Yes! He's known since January and he's been waiting for this moment to share.
Fisher says, “Unbelievable! A weight has been lifted off my shoulders. We've worked hard all of our life. Now, we're pretty much debt free and we can't start all over. Now, we can help people, we can help ourselves, and we can help volunteer.”
