The Syracuse Fire Department and the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force are investigating a house fire from Sunday that allegedly resulted from the production of meth.

The Syracuse Fire Department responded to 11207 N. Humpty Dumpty Drive, Cromwell at approximately 2 p.m. for a possible house fire. Police say the three individuals inside the residence had been involved in a stage of methamphetamine production.

Kosciusko County Police say one of the subjects had light a cigarette and ignited the meth fumes causing the fire which destroyed a large portion of the residence.

One of the subjects, 29-year-old Scott Farmer, left the residence for the hospital to receive treatment for burns prior to the fire departments arrival. He has since been release from K.C.H. with unspecified injuries.

Police say the property is allegedly owned by Jimmy Myers, who was not present at the time of the fire.

Two other men, 24-year-old Joe Evans and 22-year-old Cody Ramseyer, were present at the time of the fire but were not believed to have any injuries.

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force says information has been passed along to the county prosecutor for possible drug related charges.
